This is my first time in Columbia, SC and I'm staying right next to the campus in their 100-year-old inn. This is one of the views out my window -- a wrought-iron fountain. I'm hoping that LOCUS BELLUS means "beautiful place" and not "site of a battle." In a city that's ever mindful of its Civil War past, one never knows. But it is a beautiful town and so is this charming fountain.
